Industrial Machine Operator -- Arcadia, LA

The Position of Machine Specialist entails the operation of the pilger mill for the purpose of reducing tube size.
This involves adjusting the machine's parameters according to the specifications outlined in the routing cards.
The incumbent must be capable of operating various equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and carts to facilitate material movement within the department.
Additionally, they will be responsible for performing lock out tag out procedures, as well as conducting maintenance pm's before commencing equipment operation.
The recording of daily downtime, log books, vorne board, and other operational records is also a key responsibility.
Occasionally, the pilger operator will be required to lift tubing pieces ranging in length from 15' to 45'.
These pieces are lifted to a portable band saw for cutting purposes.
The use of small tools, weighing less than 5 lbs.
, such as ratchets, allen wrenches, impact wrenches, and pipe wrenches will also be involved.
Flexibility in terms of working different shifts and schedules is a requisite.
Requirements:
Proficiency in reading a tape measure is essential.
Basic mathematical skills are a must.
A GED or high school diploma is required.
